The National Motorcycle Quality Supervisory and Testing Center (TIANJIN) and Tianjin Motorcycle Quality Supervisory and Testing Institute were established in 1988 and authorized as a national center in 2001. NMTCTJ is affiliated to Tianjin University and is a third party testing and technical service institute.

Tianjin Motorcycle Quality Supervisory & Testing Institute has been authorized by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of People’s Republic of China, Certification and Accreditation Administration of People’s Republic of China and by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of People’s Republic of China General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of People’s Republic of China. In addition, Tianjin Motorcycle Quality Supervisory & Testing Institute is subcontract test lab of China Quality Certification Center and China Automotive Products Certification Committee and is the only test lab recognized by the US EPA in China as an approved exhaust emission test lab for vehicles.
